Job Description

At Hunter's Hub Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Migration Lead to oversee the successful execution of large-scale data migration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining migration strategies, timelines, and resource allocation.
  2. Coordinate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  3. Oversee all phases of the migration process, from planning and testing to execution and post-migration support.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and external vendors.
  5. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and changes to timelines or scope.
  6. Manage expectations and ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals.
  7. Identify potential risks related to the migration process, including data loss, system downtime, and security breaches.
  8. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  10. Develop a post-migration support plan, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that arise.
  11. Ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations post-migration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT or data migration projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale migration projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of data migration processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
