Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Migration Project Director to lead our team in planning and executing large-scale IT migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects, with a strong understanding of data migration processes, tools, and technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive project plans outlining the migration strategy, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Coordinating with internal teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project align with business objectives
  • Overseeing all phases of the migration, from planning and testing to execution and post-migration support
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and external vendors
  • Providing regular updates on project status, risks, and any changes to timelines or scope
  • Managing expectations and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals
  • Identifying potential risks related to the migration process, including data loss, system downtime, and security breaches
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Developing a post-migration support plan, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues that arise
  • Ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations post-migration
  • Gathering feedback from stakeholders to assess the success of the migration and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT or data migration projects
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale migration projects from initiation to completion
  • Strong understanding of data migration processes, tools, and technologies
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello)
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:
