  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing working papers and assisting the onshore team with client tax compliance reports.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with experience in individual, partnership, trust, and company compliance.
  • They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tax Returns
  • Prepare and lodge individual income tax returns, business activity statements, installment activity statements, and fringe benefits tax returns.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Process payroll and quarterly superannuation payments.
  • Prepare monthly management reports for clients from their accounting platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education
  • A degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is highly desirable.

  • Experience
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation.
  • Knowledge of SMSF compliance is preferred but not required.
