ICT Technical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced ICT Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-level technical assistance to customers and team members via phone, email, and in-person support.
  • Respond promptly to requests for assistance by providing timely and informative solutions to enable users to resolve their issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of faults with resolution details and customer contact information.
  • Document all working hours and tasks while on shift.
  • Implement hardware and software installations and routine upgrades in accordance with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Deliver a professional service by ensuring that requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided.
  • Act as the primary interface between users and service providers, supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Escalate unresolved technical queries to Network Engineers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant IT Support experience coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Sound knowledge of desktop hardware and both standard and customised (in-house) software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple problems simultaneously and prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Solid understanding of the organisation's Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  • Superior English communication skills, written and verbal.
