  • Assume leadership responsibilities for a coding team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring timely delivery of quality results.
  • Evaluate team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Analyze complex coding scenarios, provide expert guidance, and educate team members on best practices to ensure accurate coding and high-quality results.
  • Participate in client calls, relay information, and coordinate with the team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare management reports, review claims denied or rejected, and conduct focused audits to identify trends and areas for process improvements.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment by providing feedback, coaching, and regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biosciences) with Anatomy/Physiology as a subject is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Coding/Auditing roles, preferably in E/M inpatient and/or outpatient medical record review, coding, and reimbursement.
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading a team, with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding, proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building positive relationships with internal and external teams and customers.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and adapt to regulatory changes.
