Job Overview

The Donor Relations Manager plays a crucial role in Flippa's resource development, marketing, and communications efforts. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support in areas such as office and fundraising support, effective database management and reporting, website and social media maintenance and updates, event logistics, and donor stewardship.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage events for donors, including hospital tours and thanksgiving events, as requested by the ED.
  2. Prepare the budget for the Marketing and Development Department.
  3. Respond to website donor page inquiries and assist in its development with the MSC team.
  4. Develop reports for donors on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  5. Manage donor care, including tokens, gifts, and visits.
  6. Create proposals and Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) for new partners and facilitate their renewal.
  7. Secure sponsorship permits and requirements.
  8. Represent Flippa at partner annual conferences, meetings, and mission awareness events.
  9. Respond to sponsorship inquiries digitally and face-to-face.
  10. Coordinate MOA signing events.
  11. Manage the Donor Database, currently using Excel.
  12. Source suppliers.
  13. Oversee the production and distribution of the Annual Report.
  14. Develop strategies for donor acquisition with the CURE Ambassador/s.
  15. Acquire in-kind donations.
  16. Monitor donations.
  17. Collaborate with the accounting department for receipt issuance, BIR certification, and donation channels.
  18. Work with the Communication Officer on CURE branding requirements.

Fundraising Duties

  1. Educate people about Flippa's mission and work.
  2. Increase geographical reach through various means.
  3. Conceive and execute marketing campaigns and strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director and Development Department.
  4. Braintstorm ideas and participate in training and workshops.
  5. Host or organize fundraising events and activities that promote Flippa's mission or solicit additional funding.
  6. Deliver engaging talks to local community groups, schools, faith groups, Rotary Clubs, etc., about Flippa's work using presentation materials and case studies provided by Flippa.
  7. Encourage businesses and corporations to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility by supporting Flippa in various ways.
  8. Nurture relationships with potential customers and donors, building trust and understanding.
  9. Provide customer feedback, track preferences, and suggest advertising and positioning ideas.
  10. Engage with potential donors with the expectation of achieving donations or contributions for Flippa.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency, adhering to hospital quality programs such as Safecare and DOH requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly following infection prevention and control protocols like handwashing and wearing PPE.
  • Pledge commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage, and actively participating in environmental initiatives.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  2. License/Certificate Required: Preferably with a driver's license.
  3. Minimum Experience: At least two to three years of experience in development and fundraising in a not-for-profit setting, with advantages in working with a development database, webmaster, and social media campaign experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Ability to manage campaigns/projects; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Google Drive/Google docs.
  2. Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with donors, Board members, volunteers, and other constituents.
  3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
  5. Self-motivated with ability to work independently with low to medium supervision.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform tasks concurrently while making judgments and decisions.
  7. Comfortable working in an ecumenical environment and flexible to work longer hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.
