Project Management and Client Relationships

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to effectively manage client relationships. This involves ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and assign project resources, building and maintaining relationships with clients through open communication and trust, and managing small concurrent client projects while identifying and resolving risks, escalations, and issues.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also oversee resource planning and coordination of project activities between client and internal/external resources needed to accomplish strategic business objectives.

Furthermore, this role requires the ability to mentor staff in Agile methodologies and best practices in project management, enhance project delivery, and provide teams with a clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities, and growth plans by communicating and managing work assignments, training, and performance appraisals.

A key focus area for this position is ensuring that bench time for consultants is used to improve skills in line with practice technology roadmaps, as well as monitoring the alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and soliciting feedback from delivery owners of engagements where GDC team members are aligned.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in client relationship management, people management, and software project delivery, with a strong sense of working collaboratively with the GDC leadership team. Additionally, they should have the ability to lay out sound work plans and resolve competing trade-offs, as well as remain composed during challenging situations.

  • Project Management Experience: 5+ years demonstrated client relationship skills and experience setting and managing client expectations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively up to executive levels.
  • Team Leadership: Extensive experience aligning diverse teams across multiple locations to deliver projects in alignment with project commitments.
  • Professional Development: Ability to mentor staff in Agile methodologies and best practices in project management, enhance project delivery, and provide teams with a clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities, and growth plans.
  • Client Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships through effective communication, trust, and partnership.
