Job Opportunity: Senior Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.

This is a critical role in supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence by ensuring efficient processing, storage, and accessibility of high-quality data.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data Infrastructure & Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and RDS.
  2. ETL Development: Build robust ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data efficiently.
  3. Database & Storage Optimisation: Manage and optimise relational databases to support business needs.
  4. Data Quality & Governance: Ensure high-quality data through validation, monitoring, and governance best practices.
  5. Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools such as Python, SQL, and Bash to streamline data processes and workflows.
  6. Data Presentation & Accessibility: Support business users by ensuring data is structured and accessible in reporting tools like Tableau or Metabase.
  7. DevOps & CI/CD: Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of data pipelines such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, etc.

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient data solutions.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in data engineering, working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with SQL and database management such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and experience building data pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualisation and BI tools such as Tableau or Metabase.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation for data infrastructure automation.
