Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented financial professional to manage bookkeeping operations across multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage bookkeeping operations for multiple clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  2. Perform regular reconciliations for all accounts, providing clients with reports detailing uncleared receipts, payments, and unidentified transactions or errors.
  3. Issue invoices in a timely manner, review them for correctness, and confirm accounts payable invoices have been properly approved before processing.
  4. Record daily financial transactions accurately into the accounting system.
  5. Prepare and deliver key financial statements, including income and payment statements, and profit and loss accounts.
  6. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring client payments are recorded on time.
  7. Liaise with accountants to ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
  8. Complete month-end closing procedures by reconciling all accounts and ensuring financial records are up-to-date.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with experience managing finances for multiple businesses or clients.
  • Familiarity with UK accounting practices and tax regulations is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and Dext accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to work effectively with clients remotely.
