We are seeking an experienced clinical professional to join our team as a Disability Support Services Clinical Manager. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical oversight for the identification, authorisation, implementation, and reduction of restrictive practices across our community services. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities and the ability to develop and implement effective behaviour support plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical oversight for the identification, authorisation, implementation, and reduction of restrictive practices across our community services.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Service Coordinators to ensure practice standards are met and develop strategies to improve staff performance as needed.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour support plans that meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in developmental education or other relevant allied health, social work, psychology or other relevant discipline.
  • Full membership with the relevant discipline professional association (where applicable), and eligibility to be approved and maintain registration with the Department of Human Services as an Authorised Program Officer.
  • Significant experience working with people with disabilities and knowledge of a broad range of disability types and complex behaviour.
  • Proven experience in the implementation and delivery of person centred, positive behaviour support.
