Job Title: Network Operations Center Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) professional to join our team. As a key member of our NOC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the availability and performance of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor network systems 24/7 using advanced network monitoring tools to ensure optimal network operations.
  2. Identify, log, and escalate incidents in alignment with established policies and protocols to minimize downtime.
  3. Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues including connectivity, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  4. Coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams to resolve complex technical issues and maintain seamless communication.
  5. Maintain detailed records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to enhance knowledge sharing and improve processes.
  6. Assist in the implementation of network upgrades and maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion.
  7. Participate in the documentation of standard operating procedures for NOC operations to promote consistency and best practices.
  8. Engage in proactive monitoring and alerting to ensure swift incident responses and minimize impact on business operations.
  9. Provide exceptional customer support and communication during network incidents to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
  2. Previous experience in a Network Operations Center or Help Desk environment is preferred but not required.
  3. Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls is essential.
  4. Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds is a plus.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues effectively.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay technical information clearly.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities.
  8. Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required for 24/7 operations.
