Job Title: Commodity Manager

The role requires a dedicated professional to optimize the supply base and ensure a continuous flow of materials for global manufacturing activities.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the assigned commodity manufacturing industry, market trends, cost curves, and overall requirements both internal and external to the organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies aimed at cost optimization, proactive supplier management, technology selection, supply base consolidation, lead time and quality improvement as well as other critical performance metrics.
  • Manages supplier relationships, performs root cause analysis and resolution, develops and monitors supplier improvement plans, and collaborates with Engineering and Product Management to align technology roadmaps.
  • Analyzes spend, develops actionable spend management strategies, implements spend management strategies, and proactively manages the supply base within the assigned commodities.
  • Understands and monitors current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements, and supply/demand challenges.

Maintains a strong network and fosters collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and commodity team members. Coordinates sourcing strategies and ensures a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs. Implements corporate/divisional/project initiatives to meet desired business goals/objectives. Works closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and execution of Service driven strategy.
