Data Analyst Job Description

This role is responsible for generating and distributing accurate periodic and ad-hoc reports promptly. The position requires providing essential analysis based on empirical historical data to aid the division in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate, validate, and distribute reports accurately and timely.
  • Provide reports for strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in automation initiatives of existing SAS Programs for efficiency and error reduction.
  • Troubleshoot both simple and complex SAS program errors and recommend MIS updates for report consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain a customer-centric culture and relay feedback to management on issues including but not limited to customer needs, complaints, fraudulent transactions, and suspicious accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations of external bodies.
  • Implement audit and quality control measures.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Statistics or Business is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in data analysis or preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports.
  • Strong analytical and MIS skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic banking practices and relevant regulatory concerns.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial principles and fraud detection.
