3D Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled 3D modeling specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models of rebar and steel reinforcement for various concrete elements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BIM modeling software and be proficient in using Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or similar platforms. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with structural engineers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate 3D models of rebar and steel reinforcement for various concrete elements;
  • Generate detailed 2D drawings and specifications directly from the 3D models;
  • Collaborate with structural engineers and other team members to ensure design intent and constructability;
  • Perform quality checks on models and drawings to identify and correct errors;
  • Manage revisions and updates to models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in rebar detailing and 3D BIM modeling;
  • Proficiency in rebar detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or Revit;
  • Strong understanding of rebar standards, bending schedules, and fabrication processes;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, and engineer's notes for concrete and rebar;
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
