This is a unique chance to become an expert in community support and develop valuable skills.

Sophos is a global leader in advanced security solutions, and as a Community Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers.

Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional online customer support experience by engaging with customers and creating self-service content.

You will act as a Sophos Ambassador, building and developing the Sophos Community, and ensuring that it provides an excellent experience for users.

You will also deflect support cases by proactively resolving customer queries on online platforms such as the Sophos Community, Reddit, and Twitter.

In addition, you will monitor and expedite the escalation of user issues reported online, amplify urgent Sophos Support product advisories, and create informative guides and videos.

As a technical contact, you will help produce high-quality how-to and troubleshooting content for Techvids.

You will actively review, moderate, and verify community content to ensure technical accuracy and quality.

Finally, you will collect, assess, and relay valuable user feedback and suggestions to drive product and documentation improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You must have strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is crucial.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of IT security concepts, including antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies, is required.
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Proficiency in ActiveDirectory, SQL, Networking, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Linux/Unix, Mac, Microsoft Windows, WindowsServer Administration, Domain Controllers, IIS, and SQL is necessary.
  • Security Expertise: Thorough knowledge of Security, Cloud, Data protection, Encryption, Malware, Spyware, Cyber Security, Firewalls, Antivirus, and Disaster Recovery is required.
