Senior Documentation Specialist

We're looking for a skilled Senior Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our documentation group, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality user documentation to support our Communications API and Design System.

Your primary focus will be on writing, updating, and publishing user-friendly content that meets the needs of our developers and internal teams. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather complex technical information and communicate it through written copy.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation that is easy to understand and navigate.
  • Create user guides, tutorials, and reference materials that meet the needs of our developers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all documentation is aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in our API and related technologies, and update documentation accordingly.
  • Work with designers to create visually appealing and consistent documentation templates and styles.
Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality user documentation that meets the needs of multiple audiences.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to gather complex technical information and communicating it through written copy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and grammatical communication skills.
  • Ability to present insights and data clearly and concisely.
  • Experience using APIs or writing content for API documentation.
  • Prior development experience in any front-end or back-end languages.
