Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate and manage transportation logistics for timely deliveries and efficient routing. This position requires a solid understanding of the trucking industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Schedule and dispatch trucks: Utilize route optimization and customer requirements to assign drivers and vehicles for deliveries.
  • Monitor shipment progress: Provide real-time updates to clients and drivers on the status of shipments.
  • Maintain driver communication: Assist drivers with any issues that may arise during transit and provide support as needed.
  • Coordinate load assignments: Track the status of deliveries to ensure on-time service and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage customer inquiries: Resolve any issues related to scheduling or deliveries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize dispatch software: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies regarding transportation and safety.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience: Proven track record in trucking dispatch, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Strong understanding: Knowledge of trucking routes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication: Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in technology: Familiarity with dispatch software and technology.
  • Ability to multitask: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues effectively.
