About the Position

  • The main responsibility of this position will be to design and operate scalable systems that move and reconcile funds across jurisdictions, channels, and asset types.
  • Additionally, the individual will be responsible for building observability into every layer, leading incident response, and driving long-term reliability improvements.
  • Staying current with fintech, tech, and compliance trends will also be an important aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Problem solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex issues methodically and debug with rigor.
  • Backend focus: Experience working on backend systems, including building APIs, services, and infrastructure that power real-world applications.
  • Data modeling and access: Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL, and a solid understanding of transactions, data integrity, and performance tradeoffs.
  • Technical judgment: Ability to balance technical depth with product understanding, and make sound judgments when making tradeoffs.
  • Peer collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others who share similar values.
  • Versatility: Adaptability and willingness to learn new domains, work across the stack, and adapt quickly as priorities shift.
