Data Analyst Professional

We are seeking a Data Analyst Professional to join our team in support of our Global Meeting Services (GMS) - EMEA operations. The GMS team provides comprehensive data support and services globally, including the US, Canada, China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific. Our team continuously monitors and obtains relevant information on upcoming corporate action events such as shareholders meetings where topics like acquisitions, mergers, demergers, election of directors, and auditors may be discussed. We collect meeting results and input the collected information into our database for clients to view. This information is also used by other teams for further data collection and research to issue ISS Vote Recommendations.

• Maintaining vigilance over corporate action events such as shareholders meetings from various sources like EDGAR, SEDAR, and Stock Exchanges of each market
  
• Sourcing relevant shareholder meeting documents like Annual Reports, Notices of the Meeting, Information Circulars, Proxy Forms, and Corporate Governance documents
  
• Engaging with companies or issuers via email or phone for collaborations
  
• Collecting meeting details such as date, type, record date, location, time, and voting instructions
  
• Determining securities (ISIN, SEDOL, CUSIP, and CINS) that have relevant voting rights in a meeting
  
• Extracting meeting agendas and encoding them into the database to inform clients about agenda/resolutions that will be voted at the meeting
  
• Inputting accurate Voting Instructions such as Valid Vote Options, Market Deadline Date, and details of Registrars
  
• Collecting meeting results and inputting them into the database
  
• Supporting any other relevant projects assigned from time to time
  
• Investigating issues of markets covered raised by different teams
  
• Covering and responding to various daily reports
  
• Ensuring proper communication between GMS and other teams within ISS for a smooth workflow
  
• Responding promptly to queries from clients, issuers, and internal issues
  
• Participating in various working committees and/or projects
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or an equivalent/related field
  
• 1-2 years of relevant coursework or experience in a related field is advantageous
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  
• Strong problem-solving skills
  
• High attention to detail
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  
• Capable of working under tight deadlines
  
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  
• Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions, and capital markets is beneficial
  

• Able to work in Makati on a late dayshift schedule (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, PHT)
  
• Must be willing to work onsite five days a week for the first two months. After this period, a hybrid set-up (three days onsite, two days remote) may be offered based on performance and manager's assessment.
