Job Description:

Speechify aims to make reading accessible to everyone. Our text-to-speech products have been adopted by over 50 million users, who can listen to PDFs, books, and articles in audio format.

Our team of engineers, scientists, and researchers work together to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale, which are used to train our AI models. We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:
  • Find new sources of audio data and integrate them into our ingestion pipeline.
  • Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
  • Collaborate with our Scientists to improve the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
  • Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
