Job Overview

The role of Utility Team Lead is a critical position within our organization, requiring exceptional leadership and technical skills. This individual will oversee the management and mentoring of a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy in the electric utility sector.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the cataloging of utility assets, identifying equipment issues or hazards, and collaborating with utility companies to meet project goals and deliverables.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers, while maintaining quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of Utility Engineers.
  • Oversee the cataloging of utility assets and identify equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensure the quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and national engineering standards.
