Communications Infrastructure Specialist

This role involves the planning, design, and maintenance of local communications networks to ensure operational readiness and system reliability.

The specialist will work with various teams to integrate LCN components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, EO/IR, and COP platforms.

  • Assess, configure, and maintain local communications networks across project sites.
  • Collaborate with ICT, OT, HF/VHF, and cybersecurity teams for secure and efficient communications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, installing, and maintaining LCNs, as well as knowledge of maritime and coastal surveillance communications infrastructure.

They should be able to provide technical support, conduct system diagnostics, and recommend solutions for optimizing communications infrastructure performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of direct experience in LCN design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HF/VHF/UHF radio systems and their configuration, operation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of existing systems, networks, and technologies used for vessel monitoring, radar, AIS, and related communication platforms.
