The opportunity

Reporting to the Credit/Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for anything related to the reception and accounting of funds being paid to the company. You will act as an auditor to ensure that the accounting and financial procedures are properly followed and take initiative to solve any irregularities throughout the process.

The role

  • Review outstanding accounts periodically, follow up on payments, and update the accounts accordingly.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and validate the legitimacy of deductions and claims.
  • Prepare and review invoices and investigate any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
  • Stay in constant communication with the customers to investigate irregularities in payments or invoicing.
  • Work with team members from other departments to solve invoicing issues.
  • Process cheque deposits.
  • Prepare AR & financial reports as needed by management.

Accounts Receivable Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Quickbooks and/or NAV is a must
  • Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software.
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
  • Can work on graveyard/ night shift

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a work-from-home and full-time independent contractor role. The company offers competitive and above-standard compensation but unfortunately, we cannot offer benefits at this point.
