As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for creating and maintaining account records, documenting

financial transactions, and monitoring the transactions, processing accounts payable and accounts

receivable, entering financial data into general ledgers, which are then utilized in the process of producing

the balance sheet and the income statement

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger,

and general ledger

  • Perform partial checks of the posting process
  • Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable.
  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure

legal requirements compliance.

  • Documenting and ensuring records are up-to-date
  • Daily account managementâincluding bank accounts
  • Managing emails, memos, and other correspondents
  • Checking receipts, preparing bank deposits, sending payments, and monitoring accounts that

are past due.

  • Cross-referencing the books against bank statements and other source documents to confirm the

accuracy

  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and

trends.
