We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Energy Group.

The Telecommunications Engineer is a key technical role within the Power Engineering Group responsible for ensuring consistent, effective, and successful delivery of substation telecommunications design. This includes the following functions:

  • Field investigations (if required), conceptual and detailed design for power generation Clients across the Philippines and Australia
  • Delivering projects in feasibility, concept, detailed, construction, commissioning, and post-construction phases
  • Design and design management
  • Estimating and preparing multidisciplinary tenders and proposals
  • Monitoring, analysing and supporting the quality of work from the design team to ensure the engineering and commercial outputs are of a consistently high standard
  • Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed design activities, including preparation of bill of materials, technical data sheets, specifications, and production of tender drawings (electrical portion) of various projects assigned
  • Ensure accuracy and correctness of telecoms design outputs
  • Produce design report and other technical report required by the project and assist in the preparation of labour/cost estimates and methodologies for proposals
  • Act as Project Manager on appropriate project for delivery
  • Act as telecoms inspector during site implementation works
  • Conduct continuous research to keep abreast with the latest trends in technological advancement

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical/electronics engineering with license is an advantage
  • Advance studies are an advantage
  • Specialised in Telecommunication Design with at least 5-10 years' experience in design
  • Knowledge in substation design is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable with local standards (specifically with PEC and NGCP standards)
  • Knowledgeable with international standards is an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, hardworking, honest, and responsible
  • Highly experienced leading Major Project Delivery within client or competitor organisations
  • Proven ability to win work and drive business development activities

This job offer is based in Makati City or Quezon City office.
