What We Expect:

  1. Develop and Execute Key Account Strategies: As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to develop and execute strategic plans for your key accounts. This includes understanding each account's unique needs, setting sales targets, and devising strategies to meet or exceed them.
  2. Relationship Building: Forge strong and lasting relationships with key clients. You should be able to understand their business objectives and pain points and work closely with them to address their needs. Your ability to build trust and rapport with clients is crucial.
  3. Sales Growth: Drive revenue and sales growth within your key accounts. This means identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, as well as negotiating favorable terms and pricing to maximize sales while maintaining profitability.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data and analytics to assess account performance and market trends. Provide regular reports and insights to your clients, helping them make informed decisions. Analyzing market data will also inform you of your strategies for each account.
  5. Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Expect to encounter challenges and conflicts. Your role includes resolving issues promptly and effectively, whether they're related to supply chain disruptions, pricing disputes, or other issues. You must be a skilled problem solver and negotiator.

You Should Have:

  • FMCG Expertise: A minimum of 3-5 years (or more) of hands-on experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry as a Key Account Manager handling Modern Trade.
  • Partnership Builder: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a track record of establishing and nurturing valuable partnerships.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of the FMCG sector to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with key accounts.
  • Innovative Problem-Solver: An agile thinker with a creative mindset to approach challenges from multiple angles.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Maker: Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to inform your decision-making process.
  • Results-Oriented Professional: A demonstrated history of achieving and surpassing measurable targets and KPIs.
