The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing program on research linkages and research-related partnership and intellectual property.

• coordinates activities on research and resource-sharing leadting to creativity and creative works

• administer and monitor the implementation of the IP policy

• manage the institution's IP portfolio and database

• make deposits on copyright and handle the drafting, filing and prosecution of applications for and maintenance of trademark with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines

• Administer the funds allocated for deposit of copyright, registration of trademarks and other IP assets and activities related to the protection and commercialization of the Institution's IP assets.

• Access and consolidate all information related to research projects required by external agencies, and research scholarships and fellowships;

• Keep a directory of external funding agencies on research projects and fellowships;

• Coordinate and liases with external funding on research projects

• Assist the Executive Director and/or Program Coordinator, Research management in the development of research proposla for external funding

• Assist and refer local authors to approproate government agencies for the registration of their scholarly and creative works

• Refer local authors to legal counsels on intellectual property issues and concerns

• Monitor intellectual propety-related cases involving local authors

• Assist the Executive Director in the development of an intellectual property manual and consultation with a legal counsel

• Facilitates the coordination of IP for commercial purposes

• Prepares desk research reports or write-ups as requested by the Executive Director

• Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director from time-to-time

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline/field, preferrably with MA units

• Required relevant work experience of at least 2 years undertaking creativity, creative works and intellectual property

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Efficient organizational and interpersonal skills

• Knowledgeable in IP and General Law, Copyright, Trademark, Patent, Licensing, Ownership Rights, and IP Contract Management

• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
