Job Description:
The Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of productivity improvement initiatives, process optimization, and cost-reduction projects across operations. This role ensures the efficient use of manpower, materials, machines, and methods by applying industrial engineering principles and data-driven decision-making. The position supervises a team of industrial engineers or analysts and coordinates closely with production, quality, planning, and maintenance departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor industrial engineering staff in conducting time and motion studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production layouts based on lean manufacturing principles.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and utilization.
Drive the implementation of lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Support new product or process introductions by providing engineering analysis and layout planning.
Conduct method studies and recommend improvements in workflow, equipment design, or workspace layout.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational problems and implement solutions.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis of improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during process improvements.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher) is a strong advantage.
At least 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing or production environment.
Minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills & Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in IE tools (time study, process mapping, line balancing, etc.).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industrial engineering software (AutoCAD, simulation tools, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
Strong initiative and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
