We are looking for a skilled Database Developer Specialist with a strong background in analyzing existing software and documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing an existing development environment that utilizes Microsoft Access and a comprehensive SQL Server database system, including views, stored procedures, and tables. This role requires a deep understanding of database management and a proactive approach to improving and streamlining our current setup.

Job Requirements:

1. Analyze and assess the existing database structure, including Microsoft access, views, stored procedures, and tables.
2. Collaborate with the development team to design and implement optimized and secured database solutions.
3. Create comprehensive software documentation that outlines the analysis and understanding of existing software and database systems.
4. Document and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
5. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization across all database systems.
6. Assist in the migration of data and applications to more modern platforms if necessary.
7. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the existing database systems.
8. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to database management and optimization.

Job Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
Proven experience in database management, particularly with Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
Knowledge of modern development frameworks and tools.
Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Strong understanding of SQL and experience with views, stored procedures, and tables.
Familiarity with database optimization techniques and best practices.
Experience with data migration and integration projects is a plus.
Must be able to create software documentation that clearly analyzes and describes existing software systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work individually and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
