In Financial Services Remote | Full-time | Long-term Contract About the Role In Financial Services is a growing, award-winning mortgage brokerage building a strong digital presence through education-led video content distributed across multiple platforms, including YouTube and other digital channels. We’re looking for a Content Editor & Production Lead to own the full production of our video content - from raw footage through to final, publish-ready assets. Our content includes: >Educational finance and property videos >Trust-building client review and testimonial videos >Short-form clips and video ad creatives >Internal and client experience videos (e.g. updates, nurture campaigns) This is not a marketing strategy role and not a junior VA position. You’ll work closely with our Australian leadership and marketing team, taking approved content ideas and raw recordings and turning them into complete, production-ready content - including video edits, visuals, thumbnails, and uploads once approved. This role focuses on production ownership and execution excellence - supporting campaigns, ads, and client communications through high-quality content, while strategy, budgets, and performance optimisation sit with the marketing team. What Success Looks Like >Educational long-form videos are edited, packaged, and published consistently across approved platforms >Client review videos are polished, authentic, and professionally presented >Thumbnails are clear, on-brand, and designed to support engagement >Short-form clips and video ads are efficiently produced from long-form content >Content is uploaded accurately once approved, with correct titles, descriptions, and basic formatting >The marketing team is freed up to focus on growth, partnerships, and client experience >Our content library becomes a valuable long-term asset for the business Key Responsibilities 1. Long-Form Educational & Client Video Production >>Edit long-form educational videos (for YouTube, podcasts and other approved platforms), interviews, and presentations >>Edit client review and testimonial videos to a professional, trustworthy standard >>Clean audio, remove dead space, tighten pacing, and structure content for clarity >>Apply consistent branding, chapters, lower thirds, titles, and visual standards 2. Short-Form Content & Ad Creative >>Cut long-form education and client review content into short-form clips >>Produce dynamic video ad creatives using approved messaging, visuals, overlays, and supporting assets >>Take raw footage and create interesting and unique videos that perform well on TikTok/Instagram and META ads. >>Ensure all creatives align with brand tone and guidelines 3. Thumbnails & Visual Assets >>Design thumbnails and supporting visual assets for videos and ads >>Maintain a consistent thumbnail style and branding >>Make revisions based on internal feedback (analytics ownership not required) 4. Content Upload & Publishing Support >>Upload approved content to platforms (e.g. video platforms, ad platforms, social platfoms) >>Apply approved titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, and basic formatting >>Ensure content is published correctly and on schedule once approved 5. Content Production Flow >>Manage the end-to-end production workflow from raw files → published assets >>Maintain clear file naming, version control, and content organisation >>Work closely with the marketing team to meet publishing schedules Quality Control & Consistency >>Ensure all content meets quality and brand standards before publishing >>Maintain consistency across long-form, short-form, ads, and thumbnails >>Flag opportunities to improve production efficiency or quality Skills & Experience >>Strong experience producing education-led long-form video content end to end for multiple platforms >>Experience editing client review or testimonial videos >>Experience creating thumbnails and simple video ad creatives >>Confident using professional editing tools (Premiere Pro, Capcut, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) >>Comfortable creating thumbnails using tools such as Photoshop, Canva, or similar >>Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and clarity for educational content >>Excellent attention to detail and pride in clean, polished work >>Able to manage multiple projects without quality dropping >>Able to work independently on video production and confident to produce original ideas Highly Regarded (Not Essential): >>Experience creating video content that supports paid ads, email campaigns, or client nurture journeys >>Experience working within content-led businesses where long-form video supports audience growth, trust, and client acquisition This Role Is Not (x) A content strategy or growth role (x) A paid ads management role (x) A performance analytics role (x) A junior VA position You’ll be responsible for production and delivery, not deciding what content to create or how campaigns perform.
