About the Role

The Pre-Sales Solution Architect, Mid-Market is a customer-facing role responsible for designing, pricing, and delivering innovative ICT solutions across one or more technology towers. This role bridges technical expertise and business acumen to support B2B customers in the mid-market segment, ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs, approved architectures, and commercial models.

Working closely with Account Teams, Consulting Architects, and internal stakeholders, the Solution Architect plays a critical role in the sales engagement process—enhancing customer experience and driving financial outcomes. The role requires deep knowledge of network, carriage and security products, services, and toolsets, and the ability to deliver standardized, scalable solutions.

What You'll Do:

Customer Engagement & Solution Design

Engage directly with mid-market customers to understand their business drivers, technical environments, and strategic goals.
Translate customer requirements into scalable, standardized solutions across one or more technology towers.
Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and presentations to articulate solution value and alignment with customer needs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Consulting Architects, Account Teams) to co-develop solution overviews and business cases.
Apply sales methodology to shape compelling customer value propositions (CVPs) and return on investment (ROI) narratives.

Solution Development & Technical Leadership

Design and price solutions using approved architectures and pricing models, ensuring alignment with company standards and governance.
Develop detailed solution documentation including technical workbooks, solution overviews, and quotes for assigned sales channels.
Provide technical leadership throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, including support during delivery handover and implementation planning.
Maintain deep domain expertise in relevant ICT technologies and continuously update knowledge of emerging trends and competitor offerings.

Tool & Process Mastery

Become a subject matter expert and “super user” of internal quoting and design tools.
Ensure accurate and complete use of CRM and SNOW systems for opportunity tracking, documentation, and governance compliance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of solution design processes and templates.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Partnership Building

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Product, Delivery, Commercial, and Vendor teams.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, influencing solution strategy and customer engagement.
Participate in account planning and strategy development to support long-term customer growth and retention.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Engage with technology vendors to explore and integrate innovative solutions into customer proposals.
Identify opportunities to enhance solution offerings and contribute to the development of new service capabilities.
Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer insights and market trends.

Performance & Sales Contribution

Support the achievement of sales targets and KPIs including revenue, TCV, and opportunity win rates.
Drive customer satisfaction through high-quality solution design and technical engagement.
Contribute to formal win/loss reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

Support the technical enablement of the Manila-based startup team by sharing best practices, solution design methodologies, and tool usage.
Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and mentoring to uplift team capability.
Collaborate with team members to build reusable assets, templates, and documentation to accelerate solution development.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the team through documentation, workshops, and peer reviews.
Actively contribute to the development of team processes, best practices, and solution frameworks to improve operational efficiency.

What You'll Need:

3–5 years of experience in ICT solution design or architecture roles
Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering / ECE, or equivalent industry certifications
Knowledge of network, carriage, and security technology
Proven experience in pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles
Strong consulting, communication, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and manage competing priorities
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Adaptability and continuous learning orientation
Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
Experience mentoring or coaching peers or junior team members / new hires.
Proven ability to take initiative and drive strategic improvements.
Interest in developing leadership capabilities and contributing to team culture and direction.

Desirable

Certifications in relevant technology domains i.e. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
Experience with change management and service management frameworks
Familiarity with sales methodologies
Exposure to contract, risk, and commercial management
