Summary

The position is accountable for providing accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data production, reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting to different stakeholders of the Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Finance Financial Planning & Analysis – Retail team.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Actively involved with consolidating, analyzing, and synthesizing large amounts of financial and non-financial information from various stakeholders.
  2. Prepares high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and presentations in a timely and organized fashion catered to the needs of the different stakeholders of Global WAM & GA Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis Retail.
  3. Prepares Large Redemption, Redemption rate analysis, and Commission Reports with variance analysis. Prepares commentaries for actual US Core Earnings, support for Annual Planning cycle, and others.
  4. Prepares and maintains templates of report packages, highlights key issues, and participates in issue resolution.
  5. Supports the annual consolidated planning process, including investigation of trends, model projections, sensitivities, metrics, and preparation of presentation decks.
  6. Initiates improvements by exploring, identifying, and implementing reporting, analysis, and process solutions.
  7. Works closely with the North America business unit, stakeholders, and MBPS FP&A teammates to ensure a smooth reporting and planning process, assisting in ad hoc requests as needed.
  8. Participates in team cross-training to establish back-up and improvement of processes handled.

Qualifications

  1. University graduate in Accounting/Finance; professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in a finance role (Financial Reporting, Management Reporting), exposure to Wealth and Asset Management industry is an asset.
  3. Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
  4. Good communication and presentation skills; ability to succinctly engage with business partners and team members.
  5. Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  6. Anaplan knowledge is a plus.
  7. Good technical accounting skills with an understanding of the business environment and financial reporting structure are needed to provide value-added analysis.
  8. Knowledge of IFRS tools (SmartView-Essbase, Lawson) is an advantage.
  9. Strong attention to detail.
  10. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
  11. Proactive approach to continuous improvements and a positive "can-do" attitude.
