Sourcing function:

  • Develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Set up terms and conditions of purchase orders, supplier selection, new supplier evaluation system, etc.
  • Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Analyze and develop effective and efficient purchasing plans and procedures for all regional operations.

Procuring process management:

  • Ensure all goods and services purchased comply with company requirements.
  • Define and manage supplier relationships to deliver good performance in cost, service, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities, including but not limited to supplier performance evaluation, quality control, cargo clearance, etc.
  • Monitor material trends and market information.
  • Understand government policies or other related factors which may affect product costs.
  • Understand import & export processes.

Plan, coordinate, and manage the operation of the procurement department:

  • Design and develop training manuals.
  • Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate procurement staff.
  • Set department goals, guide staff to set individual goals, and monitor performance.
  • Oversee staff development and training to minimize competency gaps.
  • Manage and motivate the team to ensure delivery of departmental objectives.

Control, policies, and procedures:

  • Set up and maintain a control framework to ensure that all procurement activities are effectively managed and align with company expectations.
  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures to increase the effectiveness of the procurement process.
  • Ensure the policies and procedures are followed in respect of all major procurement activities.
  • Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions pertaining to supplier performance.
  • In charge of local clearance of containers.
  • Prepare and process the necessary clearance documents with related parties.
  • Closely liaise with clearing agents and arrange container trucking.
  • Coordinate with related departments on container unloading and trucking issues.
  • Liaise with forwarding agents to arrange export shipments.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum educational qualification/level: College graduate
  2. Minimum years of related working experience: 1 to 3 years
  3. Software skills: Microsoft Office
  4. Soft skills: Communication skills
  5. Any others: Knowledge in Construction and Marketing Industry

Able to communicate in both English and Filipino languages.

Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and independence.
