Job Overview

In this exciting role, based in Pasig City you will provide technical and scientific expertise in the development and manufacture of beverages, working with customers in the Philippines to develop integrated flavour and ingredients solutions to meet our customers' needs and deliver food experiences. You will also help to identify business opportunities and inspire creativity by creating an interface between Technical, Sales, and Marketing teams.

You will report to the Technical Manager of Taste & Wellbeing.

Your Role Will Include:
  1. Support customer projects and research processes by preparing and selecting flavours and maintaining data relevant to flavour portfolio, according to EH&S policies and our needs.
  2. Prepare flavoured food products for customer projects, presentations, and research projects.
  3. Select flavours for projects according to specified requirements (such as customer, regulatory, legislation, and technical costs).
  4. Participate in evaluations of flavours in food applications for briefs, research projects, and portfolio evaluations.
  5. Assist in tasting sessions and presentations to customers/visitors.
  6. Manage flavour data and recipe documentation for food products.
  7. Maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished products and capture of profiles.
  8. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment observing EH&S policies.
Your Professional Profile Includes:
  1. Polytechnic or B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related area.
  2. Minimum 8 years of experience in research and development or food applications in beverage and sweet goods with a specialization in at least 3 application segments (coffee powder, other powder beverages, RTDs, Juice, and Juice Drinks).
  3. Understanding of research documentation protocol.
  4. Knowledge of lab equipment and materials used to perform lab functions.
  5. Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines/requirements.
  6. Knowledge of our selected food products and their production processes.
  7. Basic understanding of the financial aspects of flavour selection (cost-in-use, margins).
  8. Tasting skills and ability to describe the flavour profile of the product.
