In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To review, draft, and negotiate agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards.
  • To take the Contracts Lead role on complex international and multi-BU project contracts and complex frame agreements (multi-BU and -WA).
  • To collaborate with customers, vendors, members of the legal team, and other Emerson partners to bring deals to closure.
  • To analyze business, financial, and legal risks.
  • To research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.
  • To provide contract-related guidance to sales, project management, procurement, and other collaborators.
  • To participate in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and securing appropriate approvals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a contract-related role.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract law and principles, commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment and freight terms, documentary credits, and bank guarantees/sureties.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Completion of IACCM Advanced Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Practitioner and IACCM Oil & Gas Contracting in Practice is strongly preferred.
