Our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company, is in need of a CFO.

The CFO position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, performance metrics to ensure achievement of business objectives (both short term and long-term), and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

The role also oversees the Sales Admin/Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, Finance and IT functions of the Company.

  • Direct and coordinate all financial functions so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short- and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and corporate standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level to develop and implement a financial strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
  • Introduce, manage and optimize processes and benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments within the organization.
  • Implement, monitor and continuously improve processes for working capital management.
  • Direct the timely and accurate preparation of the legal and management reports, e.g. P&L accounts, balance sheet and cash-flow statement.
  • Liaise with Sub-regional and Corporate HQ in all financial matters starting from accounting, controlling, financing and tax matters.
  • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiation, investments and capital expenditures and take appropriate action to ensure they are financially viable. Prepare presentation to and obtain approval from the sub-regional office / Company board / governmental authorities.
  • Manage taxation audits if any, tax planning and tax reporting.
  • Deal with company's appointed legal firms, auditors and tax consultants.
  • Act as first contact person with external parties, such as banks, financial institutions, tax offices and other related governmental authorities.
  • Maintain and updates of company's legal documents and licenses.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of finance people to ensure that the organization's financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines.
  • Secure company Standard Operating Procedures Lead/Support all kinds of audits Prepare Business plans and/or financial analysis for business development projects Lead to roll out all the corporate/sub-regional operational and compliance projects.
  • Work with all department heads to enhance departmental business processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University four-year Degree in Finance/Accountancy. Must be a CPA. MBA is a plus.
  • Should have at least ten (10) years financial management experience (budgeting, forecasting & strategic planning) in a MNC at a senior manager level.
  • Familiar with IAS, SAP as well as local accounting regulations.
  • Working background in healthcare/pharmaceutical MNC; Experience working within a sales-oriented organization.
  • Experience in leading and developing people is a must.
  • Change leadership experience in a growing company is a plus.
  • Track record of building a high-performance culture.
  • High ethical standards. Strong interpersonal relations and mindset of team player.
  • Proven ability to motivate team members.
  • Achievement oriented and energetic. Able to prioritize and focus.
  • Able to lead negotiations across all levels in the organization.
