PURPOSE

The Senior Architect is responsible for conceptual development and liaising with stakeholders to manage and execute the design.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Managing Director, Design Principal, Operations, Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Vendor/Suppliers, and other employees/departments (where appropriate).
  • Overseeing the assigned Interior Design Projects (overall, including adaptation of budget and adherence to timelines).
  • Overseeing the design for a client and ensuring that the design fits within the Client's expectations and requirements.
  • Maintaining the Project's overall design direction and aesthetic.
  • Managing the delivery and deliverables of the Project.
  • Managing and mentoring more junior design staff.
  • Responsible for the effective presentation of design proposals to the client.
  • Assist in the preparation of Professional Design Contract Proposals for Interior Design Projects.
  • To seek continuing professional development and research on the latest industry standards, innovations, and best practices.
  • Assist in the production of contract documents, specifications, and other documents relating to the project.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations; to include renderings and material boards/mood boards.
  • Selecting and presenting all Furnishing and Materials for approval of the Principal and the client.
  • Reviewing Project documents including drawings, sketches, schedules, and specifications.
  • Responsible for Project team and resources.
  • Maintaining project files.
  • To contribute or otherwise assist as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Candidate must be a Licensed Architect.

Minimum Experience/Training

  • Must have 5 years of relevant experience in Interior and Architecture Design.
  • Experience with Corporate Office Projects.

Competency

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and self-starter.
  • Programming abilities to extract information and produce reports.
  • Knowledge of building and accessible codes.
