Refrigeration Operator

About the role

The Refrigeration Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role involves conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that refrigeration systems run efficiently to support production and plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial refrigeration systems

• Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration system issues

• Ensure refrigeration systems run efficiently to support production operations

• Maintain compliance with safety standards

• Implement 5S practices in designated workplace

• Handle, use, and store hazardous waste materials according to proper procedures

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology Courses or college undergraduate with 2 years related experience

• Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing (DomRAC) NC II certification

• Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II certification

• At least 2-3 years of experience in operation and maintenance in HVAC and Refrigeration or equivalent combination of training and experience

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance

• Strong foundation of experience and training in refrigeration

• Analytical skills and high aptitude in troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of industrial machineries and equipment

• Knowledge of pumps, hot works (welding and brazing), lubrication and basic electrical safety

• Knowledge of proper procedures in handling, use and storage of hazardous waste materials
