DevOps as a practice is evolving at an unprecedented rate. With its advancement, Globe is riding the waves, and we're now looking for Platform DevOps Engineers to be part of our highly competitive and social team

Platform DevOps Engineering aims to elevate our current practices by productizing the entire DevOps process—providing pipeline templates, reusable scripts, boilerplates, and automated processes. As a member, you will be exposed to a multitude of technologies, from app development to containers and Kubernetes in the cloud

Your daily responsibilities

  • Interact with different development teams to identify components that can be productized and reused.
  • Maintain our Pipeline Center of Enablement, ensuring compliance and governance are embedded in all releases.
  • Design and brainstorm solutions to help our customers increase productivity.
  • Simplify and abstract complex processes to make everyone's life easier.
  • Develop backend and frontend services to visualize our products for customers (note that this is not as extensive as traditional frontend/backend development).
  • Create scripts, reusable modules, and automate processes.

Our tools of choice

  • Development experience using Python and Node.js.
  • Experience with Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, Packer, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Automation experience (Bash, Python, etc.), Containers, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, JFrog.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and other AWS services.
  • Exposure to Public/Private Cloud (AWS/GCP/RHOCP).
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines, APIs/CLI/SDK, GitOps principles, Java, ReactJS, React Native, Go, PHP, Magento, and other programming languages; proficiency in at least one is a plus.
  • Understanding that DevOps is a practice, not a role.
  • Experience with YAML and its manipulation through development.
  • Experience in creating mobile pipelines.
  • Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive GitLab pipeline experience is desired.
  • Experience embedding automated testing (unit, functional, non-functional) in pipelines is a plus.
