Junior Buyer

Manage procurement processes, ensuring compliance and cost savings in a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process purchasing requests and allocate to suppliers within service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company spend policy and map products/services using Global Product Hierarchy codes.
• Complete first-line issue resolution and escalate when necessary.
• Lead collaboration with customers on operational issues and metrics.
• Manage sourcing process by analyzing requisitions and enforcing supplier compliance.
• Obtain the best price, delivery, and terms for non-contracted items.
• Contribute to savings and cost avoidance objectives.
• Complete order follow-up tasks and resolve blocked invoices.
• Coordinate catalog information in the SRM system for indirect spend.
• Direct purchase requisitions to frame contracts and catalogs.
• Identify repetitive buys for catalogs/contracts and share recommendations with the category team.
• Identify cost-saving projects and lead implementation.
• Conduct buying training in the procurement process.
• Develop, update, and review documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare a metrics report of your process.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree or above in a Business or technical-related major.
• Preferred experience in procurement for a minimum of 18 months.
• Preferred negotiation experience and international logistics expertise.
• Supplier management experience with foreign incoterms.
• Experience working in multinational companies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a second language.
• Ability to follow procedures and sequential processes.
• Critical thinking skills to analyze orders and drive efficiencies.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Fluency in Mandarin.
