What will you do?

Functional Expertise:

  • Procures materials to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost while scheduling supplier deliveries based on requirements.
  • Maintains lot sizes, periods of supply, planning bill demand, lead times, and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
  • Supports the phase-out/in of products to avoid obsolete inventory.
  • Obtains supplier quotations as required, notifies suppliers of engineering changes to drawings/specifications, and provides suppliers with forecast and open order information.
  • Ensures that all released Purchase Orders are sent to suppliers and confirmed within the required turnaround time.
  • Resolves invoice issues, coordinates with the Procurement Manager/Counterparts on discrepancies, and updates system information as necessary.
  • Monitors supplier performance related to on-time delivery (OTD) and quality.
  • Maintains reports and trend analysis schedules to track major purchasing objectives.
  • Reviews open purchase orders regularly to execute expediting and schedule adjustments to avoid shortages, maintaining accurate data in ERP systems.
  • Achieves target goals on metrics such as Shortage Management, P2P Ordering, P2P Invoicing, NCMRs processing, ATS volume, cost savings, healthy stock inventory, and other team metrics.

Customer Commitment

  • Provides timely feedback on customer inquiries.
  • Completes workload on time and ensures transactions are processed promptly.
  • Implements error-proofing methods to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Participates in conference calls, meetings, and discussions with customers.
  • Adheres to shift schedules and attendance expectations to support customers and maintain workload balance.
  • Coordinates with other teams to fulfill customer requests.

Internal Communication

  • Records and submits periodic/quarterly transaction logs and trackers.
  • Plans, executes, and manages workload and projects in cooperation with team leaders.
  • Leads team meetings, huddles, and information sharing; communicates best practices, lessons learned, and updates.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies problem areas, offers solutions, and escalates when necessary.
  • Completes Individual Development Plans and implements training activities for process improvement.

Skills and Capabilities for Success

  • Intermediate MS Excel
  • Basic MS PowerPoint and MS Access
  • Understanding of Supply Chain principles
