SEO & YouTube Optimization Specialist (Homebased)

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase website and content visibility, traffic, and engagement.
  • Optimize content for Google Search, YouTube, and other search engines, ensuring maximum reach and discoverability.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience insights to refine SEO strategies.
  • Implement on-page SEO (meta descriptions, title tags, internal linking, content structure, schema markup) and off-page SEO (backlink building, influencer outreach, content syndication).
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Optimize YouTube videos using titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, captions, end screens, and cards to maximize rankings and engagement.
  • Work with the content team to ensure video scripts, blog posts, and website content are SEO-friendly while maintaining natural readability.
  • A/B test thumbnails, video formats, and CTAs to improve retention, CTR, and conversion rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with Google algorithm changes, YouTube trends, and emerging SEO best practices.
  • Develop SEO reports and analytics dashboards, tracking growth and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the video production, content marketing, and social media teams to align SEO with broader marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level SEO knowledge with a strong understanding of Google's ranking factors and search intent strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of YouTube's algorithm, including watch time, engagement metrics, and search rankings.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, TubeBuddy, and VidIQ.
  • Ability to write and optimize metadata, conduct keyword research, and create SEO-friendly content strategies.
  • Experience with website SEO optimization, including WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify SEO tactics.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven content strategies and how search engines are evolving with AI-based ranking.
  • Strong understanding of CTR optimization, audience retention strategies, and video SEO best practices.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make strategic recommendations based on performance insights.
