Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines MSCI Inc Full time

The successful candidate shall be part of the ESG & Data Technology SRE (Site Reliability) & DevOps team, which is located globally across India, Manilla, US, and Mexico. This team provides tier 2/3 support to proprietary MSCI ESG & Data Technology Business and is responsible for the stability, performance, and performing releases across all environments. As part of the DevOps team, the candidate should know the landscape of tools and best practices utilized to ship code fast and maintain highly available services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide second-level product technical support.
  • Plan, document, and deploy financial software applications to our ASP on Windows and Unix/Linux based systems.
  • Collaborate with development and software testing teams throughout the release process.
  • Manage production hardware and software resources, including coordinating maintenance and outages with the infrastructure group.
  • Document solutions and teach other engineers how to automate their own build/deploy/monitoring solutions.
  • Implement and troubleshoot pipeline automation, reports, and tests.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
Qualifications
  • Good understanding of Windows/Unix Scripting and/or Python.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills; fast learner.
  • Basic understanding of Java.
  • Database experience a plus – Oracle/MSSQL.
  • Ability to self-manage your own projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in Finance is a plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience.
  • BE (Bachelor of Engineering in IT/Computers/Electronics) or MCA (Master's in Computer Applications).
  • Willing to work on a 6-month contract.
