Five9 provides businesses with cloud contact center software that is reliable, secure, compliant and scalable, which is designed to create exceptional customer experiences, increase agent productivity and deliver tangible business results.To complement our rapid growth, we are actively sourcing for a Network Engineer to operate in a 24/7 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment maintaining IP Networking components in a production setting. In this role you will:Assist customers and field personnel in network activations for customersParticipate in projects for Network Operation improvementsReview and analyze history of network related incidents and perform preventive measuresTroubleshoot network related issues and communicate with customersImplement best security practicesAssist in managing network service providers and equipmentProvide capacity analysis and planningKey ResponsibilitiesInteract with external customers regularly to ensure smooth network activations and to troubleshoot any network connectivity related issues; May require some travel to customer site for escalated issues (10% or less)Partner closely with Network Architects and Engineers to improve data-center and corporate network environmentsInitiate multiple projects for Network Operation improvementsPartner with internal business units to best understand the organization's needs and continuously improve and apply standards for operational excellenceReview, analyze and execute network change requestsRequirements:3-5 years of experience in Medium to large networks, IP Routing, Switching, and Security principles.Demonstrate knowledge of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and how they interact with the networkDemonstrated operational success with an exceptionally strong data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challengesTelecommunications experience - VoIP, RTP, SIP peering/trunking and SBC is a huge plusExperience with implementations of solutions involving large data centers, interoffice routing plans, site2site VPNs, FWs, IPSec, monitoring, etc. is a plusHands-on skills for Cisco IOS is required, IOS-XR and Nexus OS is preferred, connect lab equipment, proof of concept; Documenting solutions with diagrams and proper description is requiredKnowledge and experience in Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k, Palo Alto Network firewalls, ASR 1000 and 9000 Routers, Catalyst Switches and Routers, SSL-VPN.Experience with incident response, information assurance, computer security best practices, system hardening, vulnerability management, antivirus, SIEM, firewalls, IPS/IDS monitoring, and techniques for analyzing TCP/IP network traffic and event logsKnowledge of Linux network functions; Saas/Cloud-based software environment a plus, but not requiredExcellent communications, both oral and writtenCompany BenefitsCompany stocksAnnual merit increase based on performancePaid Leave with Cash ConversionHMO with free dependentsRetirement PlanLife InsuranceWhile on work from home setup: Internet and meal allowance are providedEmployee Assistance Program for mental and social well-beingGovernment-mandated Benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, PagIBIG, 13 th month pay, Solo parent leave, Special leave for women)Five9 embraces diversity and is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
