Supervises the efficient and effective financial accounting operations to provide financial

accounting support and services to the business units.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors closing of accounting books which may include bank reconciliation, investments, accruals, pre-payments, invoices, payroll related entries, etc.
  • Reconciles remittances for US Company withholding taxes and 401k ensuring actual bank transfers are tied up with the payroll entries provided.
  • Reconciles some intercompany transaction for both revenue/expense and AR/AP
  • Makes a comparative analysis/trending of fluctuation of funds on a periodic basis (monthly) including additional accrual as a result of discrepancies.
  • subcontractor cost and other related expenses, etc.) and other records (i.e. inter-company charging like management fees, marketing fees and rental income, etc.) based on the information provided (i.e. budget provided by the financial analyst, invoices/vouchers, etc.).
  • Assists external auditors with regard to queries or documentation requirements.
  • Responds to queries of Financial Analyst regarding spend management accounts.
  • Reviews and verifies accurateness of approved accounts payable voucher parked by Spend Management Assistant/ Accountant (i.e. checks if invoices/request for payment are approved and correct).
  • Records payroll related entries that include uploading of payroll entries for US and Philippines such as Confidential Payroll, which are provided by HR approved and sign-off, accrual of SIL/VL, 13th month pay, Annual Performance Incentive and Merit Performance Increase.
  • Prepares the monthly schedules that support the financial reports and statements for utilization by higher management, external reporting, and external auditor.
  • Meets with Spend Management Accounting Manager to develop action plans and corrective actions for identified problem areas.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of BS Accounting
  • Must have at least 2-3 years’ work experience in the same field, preferably with supervisory experience
  • Must have the ability to prepare accurate financial and statistical reports
  • Must have the ability to supervise staff
  • Must have working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
