Mid Application Systems Engineer/Consultant (Cebu)Job Description:

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards. The provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designs small to medium size solutions or partial solutions within an established architecture.
  • Schedules and monitors own work, escalating problems and queries to higher levels to ensure project timescales are met.
  • Contributes towards and may produce project plans for small to medium size solutions or partial solutions.
  • Provides input to estimates for a proposal or bid.
  • For routine and non-routine problems and requirements, produces high quality solutions and documentation through the use of a structured approach.
  • Identifies and implements individual ideas to exceed customer expectations.
  • Fluently presents technical information to technical and non-technical audiences both orally and in writing.
  • Communicates issues in a timely manner.
  • May have limited responsibility over the work of others.
  • Influences own team by contributing to team meetings, quality assuring deliverables, etc.
  • Contributes to other teams through inputs into team meetings, quality assuring deliverables, etc.
  • Engages with the customer to clarify and understand their requirements.
  • Adheres to corporate and local development methodologies as appropriate.
  • Adheres to corporate and local processes.
  • Has some input to local processes.
  • Keeps abreast of technology developments within their own specialism.

Responsibilities:

  • Design systems or applications based on client requirements.
  • Develop programs based on design and requirements specifications.
  • Create test specifications and execute testing.
  • Conduct review of technical work outputs.
  • Can lead or mentor junior developers.
  • Can lead in team's operational tasks (initiatives).
  • Can execute mutually agreed plans for the benefit of the customer.
  • Can handle tasks with the help of manuals provided by the customer.
  • No need for senior supervision.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years application development (design, programming, testing) experience.
  • Mainly React.js skill with other technical experience preferred such as Java, C#, Python, scripting, .NET, AWS/Azure, etc.
  • Experience in any Single Page Application development is acceptable (aside from ReactJS, there is AngularJS, VueJS).
  • Team lead experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willing to be deployed either locally or in Japan short term (3-6 months) / long term (1-2 years).
  • College graduate.
