Job Description:

  • Assist the Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • First-hand coordination with the external auditors to manage the annual audit process.

  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.

  • Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • Assist in the analysis and presentation of financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other accounting-related documents/schedules.

  • Prepare Journal Entries related to assigned functional responsibilities.

  • Other tasks such as business permit filing and payment of real property taxes

  • Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Assist in the management and optimization of the use of SAP for accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.

  • Responsible for the discussion and preparation of supporting documents in the approval of adjustments pertaining to financial variances or reversal of previously posted transactions.

  • Conducts month-end and year-end bank and cash reconciliations.

  • Assist in the generation of financial reports, books of accounts and BIR-related attachments for submission and presentation.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of SAP-related policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.

  • Leverage SAP functionalities to automate and streamline accounting tasks.

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP and accounting practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.

  • Preferably CPA or with equivalent professional certification

  • Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).

  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.

  • Customer Service Oriented.

  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.

  • Strong research and analysis skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.

  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.

  • Must have 1-3 years of experience in conducting financial accounting reports.

  • Willing to be assigned in Santa Clara, Santa Ana Manila.
