Job Overview
The Plant Production Manager is responsible for leading the overall production and manufacturing operations of the pet food plant, ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Responsible for production targets, quality, plant capacity, manpower, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end plant production operations and achieve production targets.
- Oversee extrusion and dry processing: milling, batching, mixing, extrusion, drying, coating, cooling, and packing.
- Monitor key production KPIs, including OEE, yield, downtime, productivity, and manufacturing costs.
- Drive process improvement, cost and waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and safety standards.
- Lead and develop production supervisors, engineers, and plant personnel.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure efficient plant operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering; Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
- 10+ years of plant/manufacturing production experience with leadership exposure.
- Experience in Pet Food, Animal Feed, Food Manufacturing, or extrusion.
- Hands-on experience in production, extrusion/dry processing, process improvement, and plant operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Preferably based in Bulacan, Pampanga, or nearby areas.
- Willing to work on-site.
