The Role: Procurement Senior Manager

Overview: The mission of this role is to be responsible for successful execution of Offer Creation Projects strategies, ensure the projects are tracked and followed-through on Project Time-To-Market, controlling Product cost and Supplier management. The incumbent needs to deliver strong productivity for the Business Unit through QVE and alternate Sourcing initiatives. He or she must be able to understand customer needs and offer value-adding solutions; create a sense of partnership; responds to the demands of working with global internal customers. The role will be managing more than 10 direct reports and need to drive a strong engaging and high performing culture. The incumbent needs to be proactive and able to achieve the required end to end. The role is a key SPOC between the suppliers as well as project team to drive a strong partnership and needs to ensure compliance to ethics for own self as well as his or team.

What will you do?
  1. Responsible for the external side "(Supplier market) of the design or by the design "and Make or Buy" files making the right decision and leading the execution if decision is buy.
  2. Guide components and Sub assy selection with the purchasing approach, analysis and challenge the needs.
  3. Aligns Project Sourcing targets with current Global Purchasing Strategy focusing on standardization, reduction of diversity and recommended supplier concentration and long-term continuity.
  4. Pushing co-development with suppliers and early supplier involvement and provides market view to the project. Monitors and ensures competitive material cost to meet product Target cost.
  5. Support Innovation from Supplier Side and Process innovation.
  6. Negotiate all Purchasing Contracts for all new OCP Projects, setup contracts with legal department for strategic parts and components.
  7. Under the leadership of Project Manager, update Project Deliverables including selected PMP purchasing deliverables and ERP's.
  8. Supports samples and tools procurement and places timely orders.
  9. Challenge the supplier Orientation Chart of the commodities through their commodity reps if necessary.
Who would be successful?
  1. Background in Procurement + Electronics minimum 15 years of experience.
  2. Bachelor of Engineering (Preferable Electrical Eng can be considered provided 3 to 7 yrs experience in the field of Electrical & Electronic components Purchasing Field).
  3. Min 2 -4 years of experience on Project Management. PMP certification is a plus.
  4. Multinational exposure with Industry experience in the Manufacturing of the High-Tech sector -> has experience working in manufacturing in technologies sector with large organization.
  5. Good knowledge on category, sourcing strategies and cost innovation.
  6. Exposure to supplier management and good knowledge of supplier relation management-> has experience in supplier relation management.
  7. Should have business ethics, this is desirable.
  8. Candidate must have good logical reasoning skills.
  9. Technical understanding of the products / technology is desirable.
  10. Exposure to Domestic / International Supplier base.
