Summary Description

The Intercompany Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering timely and quality service to internal Dover customers, as measured by service level agreements and key performance indicators. The role involves managing end-to-end intercompany accounting processes, including reviewing transactions, preparing reports, resolving reconciliation issues, and supporting period close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will also perform account reconciliations, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with the Intercompany Lead and Manager on strategic priorities.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Handle more complex operating companies.
  2. Monitor, review, and resolve intercompany receivables and payables, coordinating with partners.
  3. Perform journal entries, prepare accruals, and ensure timely expense recognition.
  4. Participate in the netting process.
  5. Assist and support team members.
  6. Engage with key stakeholders across the shared service group.
  7. Identify and implement process improvement projects.
  8. Delegate tasks to accountants.
  9. Perform consolidations.
  10. Support process streamlining initiatives.
  11. Provide audit support internally and externally.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Management Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Experience in Intercompany Accounting or general accounting.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.); Oracle preferred.
  • Experience in a shared service or BPO environment is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; Lean Six Sigma training is a plus.
